First of all, I'm behind a speedtouch adsl router with NAT translation.
Now I've a box with a webserver, which's port has been mapped correctly.
But the problem is when someone from the outside connects to the webpage he'll get's the correct page, but when clicks on a link the webserver returns the wrong (local) domain:
box.lan for instance with the local ip 10.0.0.175
I've got an domain name from homelinux.net net which points to my ip adres.
Now I've heard all kind of things which I should conifgure, but it's getting a bit confusing...
The thing is, I don't want to change any domain settings on the speedtouch because other pc's are depending on it.
Could someone tell me which file's I should change/edit in order to get my server to return the correct (external) ip / domain?
Currently my /etc/hosts file has only a 127.0.0.0 entry and my /etc/domainname is empty _________________ Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9, AMD64 3000+, 2x 512Mb Geil dual channel, Gigabyte Geforce 6600GT, 200Gb Maxtor Dmax 10 sata, Zalman ZM-400B-APS |

actually that doesn't needs to be fixed...
I've fixed it somehow know with apache's virtual hosts, so that the server can be reached from external (wan) locations.
But know I've got a problem, because I can't connect from local site's anymore, so i need to somehow trick my router to do that for me _________________ Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9, AMD64 3000+, 2x 512Mb Geil dual channel, Gigabyte Geforce 6600GT, 200Gb Maxtor Dmax 10 sata, Zalman ZM-400B-APS |
