Hi guys,
I can only run glxgears (nvidia video card), mplayer, gxine etc when I run it as root. If I try to run it as normal user for some reason it won't work.
I think I caught that (under mplayer at the prompt) that I do not have permission to use the rtc and I should be able to.
Is there a connection here?

Thanks for your response. I am in those groups, and until a recent -u world I have had no problems in this department.
When I run gmplayer at the prompt this is an error I get. I suspect this has something to do with it, but I don't know how to fix it.
Failed to open /dev/rtc: Permission denied (it should be readable by the user.)
Any ideas?

| Click on system then goto /dev. Then right click on /rtc and check all the unchecked boxes and save. Then rerun the game and it should work! Good Luck |
