I'm trying to install gentoo on a Virtual PC. When I boot from the gentoo 2005.0-liveCd there are sda1-3. When I try to boot my own kernel there are no sdax's in /dev, but there is a directory SCSI with some subdirs leading to part1-3 which are the partitions I need. How can I get back sda1-3 when booting my own Kernel?
