[solved] Error in Kile's System Check relating to SRCLTX.STY

Hello!

I successfully installed Kile and when I ran the System Check it moaned about a missing SRCLTX.STY module. I went to ctan.org and got it and installed it (multiple times as seen below because I was not exactly sure how it wanted to be unpacked) but it still gives the same error. Can someone tell me what I have done wrong?

I tried searching the forums for srcltx.sty but all it gave me were references to .sty

Someone must use Latex

Since nobody knows the answer, I found outkile comes from kle.sourceforge.net and went there. I downloaded their documentation and read it (shock horror!).

It suggested unpacking into /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/srcltx which I did. It sai to run texhash which I did.

I go back and rerun System Check and it still complains just the same.

Hi Mark,

I was having the same trouble. To fix it I copied SRCLTX.STY into /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/tools/ and ran texhash (as root) and kile stopped complaining

Thanks Dan. That was just the help I needed.

It also made me look a bit closer and I discovered that the srcltx.tgz that is on the CTAN.ORG doesn't contain a srcltx.sty file!

Google is my friend and all fixed now

I found srctex.sty and srcltx.sty installed in /usr/kde/3.3/share/doc/HTML/en/kdvi/ (in case someone is looking for them... ).
