Hi,
I have a problem with udev (latest x86 stable):
udev does not (or, at least, not always), create the /dev/hdc and /dev/hdd (and the according cdrom symlinks) for my dvd player / cd burner at boot time. However, sometimes, it does, but I don't know on what this depends. I can create the hdc nodes manually with mknod or MAKEDEV, and if I run udevstart after that, it creates the symlinks.
Any ideas?

Oh, thanks, how could I be that dumb! ;) I forgot that I compiled the cd module as *module*.
Btw, it's called ide-cd, not ide-cdrom for me.
