I am trying to accept email on my mail server for two domains, domain1.com and domain2.net. I can sucessfully send and recieve email to any user at domain1.com but when I try and send an email from my yahoo account to the same user at domain2.net I get the following:
Code: | Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following
addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
<user@domain2.net>:
XX.XXX.XXX.XX does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 553 sorry, relaying denied from your location
[XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX] (#5.7.1)
Giving up on XX.XXX.XXX.XX.
--- Below this line is a copy of the message.
etc, etc... |
My sendmail /etc/mail/local-host-names file reads:
My /etc/hosts reads:
Code: | 127.0.0.1 zues.domain1.com zues
127.0.0.1 zues.domain2.net zues |
The output of `domainname -f` from my mail server is:
There is no output from /var/log/mail that would indicate any problem. Just typical status and seccess messages.
The only thing that I can think that is possibly wrong is that the domain for my server needs to be domain2.net. If this is the case how can I have two domain names for a single machine? Why will only one of my domains work? Oh yeah, I am using sendmail-8.12. _________________ --------------------

Just to make sure, did you run 'makemap' on the local-host-names file? Also, do you have VIRTUSER_DOMAIN_FILE(`/etc/mail/local-host-names')dnl in your configuration file?
