Doing any emerge that has to download more then a couple things results in resolving the IP address (203.59.27.132) of ftp mirror (ftp.iinet.net.au) to the wrong thing (1.0.0.0).
See below for details...
Id this a bug or just something that happens? I don't have anything funny in hosts, read, nothing related to ftp.iinet.net.au.
What I don't get is that as soon as I do the "ping ftp.iinet.net.au" and get the correct IP then emerge its fine....

Ok thanks,
I use a 4 port router/adsl modem (10.1.1.1) which is suppose to take care of all the DNS resolution.
I've changed /etc/resolv.conf to actually point straight at ISP's DNS Servers, no more middle man see if that helps  |
