Salve, sto installando la 2005.0 su un portatile di un amico (ASUS Z8100), piuttosto recente (preso a Dicembre, credo).
Tutto ok, tranne il kernel. Ho provato sia il 2.6.11-gentoo-r3 che viene "dato" con la 2005.0 che love-sources-2.6.11-rc1-love2, ma l'errore e' sempre lo stesso:
ACPI-0294 [blablabla]
ACPI-1138 [blablabla]
nel primo caso (2.6.11-gentoo-r3), il sistema si blocca e basta,
con i love-sources, invece, ho un oops proprio allo stesso punto.
Ho pure provato a disabilitare completamente l'ACPI... ma stranamente gli errori sono gli stessi  
Spero possiate aiutarmi.
San google mi ha solo riportato altri messaggi di mailing list con utenti alle prese con gli stessi problemi, ma senza risposte...

Prova a fare boot con un livecd e postare tutto il dmesg.

Io ho un Asus M6842Ne, comprato anche io a dicembre.
A quanto pare le tabelle ACPI degli asus non sono totalmente standard, e mi sono dovuto patchare la tabella DSDT.
Prova a vedere se trovi qualcosa su quel portatile su http://tuxmobil.org/mylaptops.html
Altrimenti http://acpi.sourceforge.net/ e' una buona sorgente.
Se ti devi compilare la dsdt ti serve anche il compilatore/decompilatore di intel IASL. |
