Well... è un pò difficile spiegarlo...
anzi è facile: ALSA NON FUNZIA PIÙ!

e sulle tty ho inquitanti messaggi che ricostruiti sono più o meno

Premetto che NON ho cambiato Kernel e che sto casino è venuto dopo un
emerge -uD world
in cui si è evidentemento aggiornato anche Alsa



BTW gioco tranquillo con cedega, perhaps usa OSS?

Per caso con l'emerge world ha aggiornato anche alsa-lib?
Se si installa la versione di alsa-lib uguale a quella dei driver

Cmq prova così
emerge unmerge alsa-headers alsa-utils alsa-lib
poi fai
emerge \="alsa-headers-1.0.7"
emerge --nodeps \="alsa-lib-1.0.7"
emerge \="alsa-utils-1.0.6"
passando alle versioni precedenti dovrebbe fungere
