Code:
emerge -pv splashutils
will show you what package conflicts with this one. It's probably media-gfx/bootsplash.

Thats true!

Quote:

root@andi dude # emerge -pv splashutils

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild R ] media-gfx/splashutils-0.9.1 -hardened 0 kB

Total size of downloads: 0 kB

but what can I do?

if you have bootsplash installed, uninstall it. splashutils is for gensplash, bootsplash is for bootsplash (which is more or less obsolete on gentoo) and they do not go well together. so do
Code:
 emerge unmerge bootsplash

So I typed
Code:
emerge unmerge bootsplash

and I got the message

Quote:
--- Couldn't find bootsplash to unmerge.

>>> unmerge: No packages selected for removal.

What should I do???

so bootsplash isn't the guilty one
do
Code:
emerge --update --deep --pretend world
and the blocker will be marked with a red B (first ebuild in the list)

Yeah your cool man!

Thanks for the time! (With a nooby)

This is the result:
Quote:

Calculating world dependencies ...done!
[blocks B ] media-gfx/splashutils (is blocking media-gfx/bootsplash-0.6.1-r7)
[blocks B ] media-gfx/bootsplash (is blocking media-gfx/splashutils-0.9.1)

Wich one sould i unmerge?
I use fbsplsh (emergence) to try it.

Now I wanna put a new one to make my start more funny (chickas)

You probably still have the bootsplash-themes and/or bootsplash-themes-livecd installed. unmerge those and replace them by splash-themes-livecd. Then try the emerge -udp world again.
