Hi all
Have a Quickshot Strikepad gamepad ( http://www.quickshot.com/game_controllers/strike.html) which plugs into the gamport.
Gentoo is not picking it up. (for the record, neither does Win64, but Win64 can't do sound either while linux can...)
Dmesg says this:
gameport: NS558 ISA at 0x201 speed 913 kHz
pnp: the driver 'ns558' has been registered
pnp: match found with the PnP device '00:0b' and the driver 'ns558'
pnp: Device 00:0b disabled.
ns558: probe of 00:0b failed with error -16
AFAIK the device works (used to use it on a Win98 box) and I didn't disable anything related to this in the BIOS.
So is the "pnp: Device 00:0b disabled." issue likely to be a BIOS, linux or hardware issue?
Am using gentoo 2.6.11-gentoo-r2 (dev source) on AMD64. Other specs below.
Thanks, Ian _________________ Asus X570-PRO, Ryzen 7 5800X, GeForce GTX 1650, 32 GB RAM | Asus Sabertooth P990, AMD FX-8150, GeForce GTX 560, 16GB Ram |
