| Hi i have seen many people have the terminal seem like its on the desktop. I was wondering, what options do i enable to do this for aterm? how would i get it so that it lies under all the other windows? thanks! |

you have to switch of borders, scrollbar and maybe switch on transparent background.
The thing to let it stay under every other window depends on your WindowManager, so tell us which one you use.

start your terminal with
| Code: | | aterm -name transAterm |
in your fvwm configuration has to be something like that (sorry, long time since using fvwm)
| Code: | | Style transAtermStayOnBottom, NeverFocus, NoBorder |
in your .Xdefaults you write like
| Code: |
transAterm*transparent:true
transAterm*scrollbar:false
|
if you want every aterm transparent, just replace transAterm with aterm and don't use the -name command line switch
