|
|
Hi guys,
Just rebuilt my system with 2005.0 and I cannot get my Dell notebooks glx to work. I have uncommented the "load glx" line, I have installed nvidia-glx, I have opengl-update nvidia'd, but I still get the following message:
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
glxgears: Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Did you emerge the nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx while X was running?
Also, have you tried running "env-update" and/or "modules-update" to see if it helps? _________________ "I could tell that my parents hated me. My bath toys were a toaster and a radio."

Maybe I'm wrong but if you're using composite try to add:
Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "true" do your xorg.conf file
This problem is described here:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/TIP_Xorg_X11_and_Transparency
Anyway, you can simply remove Composite from your config file. |
