I finally got around to switching to 2005.0, I had to emerge the new kernel headers to get the script to work, but after that it went without a hassle.
After reemerging the emul-linux-x86 libs I got some 32 bit programs (like opera) working again, but I still can't get the games running that I had before. Both doom3 and quake3 seg fault after trying to open libGL.so.1
How do I fix this?
****UPDATE***
I unmerged emul-linux-x86-nvidia and quake 3 started working again. Doom 3 still doesn't work, but now it says my card doesn't have the features it needs, which is a different error.
Here's what I get when I try to run doom3:
dlopen(libasound.so.2)
asoundlib version: 1.0.5

Hello!
Try to emerge the nvidia-{kernel,glx}-1.0.7167 ( I'm not totaly sure about the number ), the ebuild should build a 32bit version.
Greetings

I'll be damned, it worked. I'd tried rememerging the stable ones and nothing happened, but the ~amd64 ones worked. Odd that that's what makes the difference |
