Err, let me rephase that it's late, I am getting cranky
If I install the stage 3 version. Is it totally ready to go, when I am done? Just install more programs that I want. A complete usable system?

That just depends what you want to do with your system. After a stage3 install you can have a window manager with some apps (browser, etc). If you want to do special things with it like digitalize and edit video you have to install other apps. It is always wise to update your system after a stage3 install. |

figured it out
The answer seems to be yes.
No worries, once I get it up and running it looks like it will be much better than Mandrake. |
