I'm new to linux, and I choose to install gentoo, coz I read somewhere, I learn lot's of thing, If I'm able to install gentoo successfully. and I found it's true
Now my problem is, I can access web after net-setup eth0 when I boot from gentoo universal installation CD, but not after installing gentoo on HDD,
If I issue ifconfig, it doesn't show me anyinfo about eth0 (Only about loopback adaptor)
I've a intel pro100 lan card and I"m using genric kernel.
Please help me |

When you were configuring your kernel, did you select the e100 to be built into the kernel or as a module?
I believe that there are 2 options for this card, one is referred to as the Becker driver and the other is referred to as the Alternate Intel driver.
Which one did you select? |

I think that's the probelm, I configure my kernel from genkernel script. |
