Well. Here i am. Wow.
My question is: How do i install my USB Mouse (yes i know, plug it into the usb port)
But how do i configure Gentoo so that i can use it under Gnome2?
Saw something about that under that use doc.. "Desktop configuration" Couldn't understand what they ment by "install theese modules into the kernel [some filenames]".
So if someone would like to hold my hand through this, your welcome to do it
PS. Why do my posts always get so gay when i use lynx?

Came up with this after a quick search...
USB Mouse and Keyboard How-To
Maybe a moderator should move this as well? |

Well i did as the Howto said i should do it..
But it didnt work.. It says something like "Could not load hid.o" (something like, not exactly) when booting up..
Did a little searching in theese forums, and I found something about it beeing modutils fault and something about that that perticular perticular kernel (2.4.19r10) had some flaws in their usb modules.. I also tried to statically compile the hid thing into the kernel, but halfway thru the compile it errors.
Any suggestions? |

try instead of if you get an error message like "could not locate module keybdev.o" and you don't have an USB keyboard. I think this is a bug in the current version of modutils. |
