One of the nice features in Mac OSX is the ability to mount/umount disc images in usermode. In Linux I can use the loop device to mount iso images but I always have to be root, or sudo, to mount the images. Is there a way to to configure Linux so that users can mount disc images using the loop device without being root or using sudo? |

If you don't change the name of the image often, I've found that the best method is to just include it in your fstab. This gives the user the same flexibility as any other disk on the system, including user privs. Also, it's less to type when you want to use the disk image. :) |
