migrating from samba2 to samba3 using ldap

i have server running samba2 and i want to shutdown that server and migrate its configuration to samba3 but
somebody said that migrating it from samba2 to samba3 won't that easy (it's something about the users/groups thingy?) and that i have to configure openldap so that i could preserve the profiles of the users on our network especially profiles that are of the roaming type..


please help me...what should i do?
