| ci sono trucchi per velocizzare l'"emerge sync"? io ho installato ccache e deltup per i package e ormai perdo più tempo per fare sync che per tutto il resto |

credo che gli unici accogimenti che ti possono velocizzare un sync sono una buona connessione un buon server sync e un file system veloce.. tutto qua!

metterlo in crontab? non diventa più veloce, ma almeno non ci si accorge di quanto dura  |

si, anch'io ho fatto cosi', gli faccio fare a crontab un emerge sync e un updatedb alle 3 di notte cosi sono sicuro che lo fa qnd dormo o sn fuori!

devi scaricare il pacchetto slocate.. serve per cercare in modo rapido i file.. ti crea un database di riferiemnti con updatedb!
