Hello, I have a via82xx and have used alsaconfig to set up the sound. While using gaim I can hear things perfectly...but when running Enemy Territory I can't hear a sound. If any other information is needed please let me know. Thanks

ET uses OSS I believe. Have you added ALSA-OSS emulation in your kernel?

Also, check that no sound daemon (esd, artsd etc.) is running, which could block the sound devices.

Also, kill any instances of mplayer, which may be leftover from mplayerplug-in or just a non-broken pipe version.

Have you tried this here?

Code:
 echo "et.x86 0 0 direct" > /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/oss
echo "et.x86 0 0 disable" > /proc/asound/card0/pcm0c/oss

Bye, coin3d
