When playing avi (divx) with mplayer (using -vo xv) or with xine the image is "greyish" with stripes.. I have no such problems with mpg's. Anyone have the same problem?

I have a not so great i915gm graphics card.. It looks fine using -vo x11 - except I can't resize the image then (and thus not view in fullscreen :( )

What Kernel, what XFree/X.org version, which graphics driver? Did you try xine, or doesn't that work either?

It is particularly interesting which Graphics Card Driver you use. I presume the Kernel's DRM driver? Did you search the forums already?

I use the i915 and dri driver from the latest dri.sf.net snapshot. (in xorg.conf the driver is named i810 AFAIK - i915 doesn't work) and xorg-6.8.2.

the i915 module loads fine:
[drm] Initialized drm 1.0.0 20040925
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:02.0[A] -> GSI 11 (level, low) -> IRQ 11
[drm] Initialized i915 1.2.0 20041217 on minor 0: Intel Corp. Mobile Graphics Controller
mtrr: base(0xc0020000) is not aligned on a size(0x834000) boundary

hmm - I'm the only one with a "greyish stripes" on avi's playing problem?

All ideas as to where I should report this bug (perhaps dr.sf.net mailinglist?) or any hints as to what I could try to remedy it, would be more than welcome :)
