Hi,
I am a recent Photoshop-to-Gimp convert, and only been using Linux for about a month. I been playing with Gimp for while to get used to it. But there are a few things I do not know how to do.
1. Can you please tell me how I can take a screenshot of my desktop? Appearantely, the Print Screen Key + Paste doesn't work here.
2. Is it possible to make the icons smaller in Gimp?
3. How do I do a custom rotate with my mouse?
4. Not a tech question, but is it true that movies like Nemo was made with Gimp??? _________________ 2.6.11-gentoo-r5 // Xorg // Fluxbox

1. File --> acquire
2. Dunno
3. Layer --> Transform --> Arbitrary Rotation or Tools --> Transform Tools --> Rotate
4. Dunno |

For screenshot with Gimp, go to "File->Aqcuire->Screen Shot". You can also use the ImageMagick "import" command, try "man ImageMagick". There's also a KDE screenshot utility called "KSnapShot".
For 3d movies, check out blender |

Thanks everyone.
Oh, 1 more thing: Call me stupid, but how do I get a 2 pixel pencil? I only can choose a 1 or 3. I cannot find that slot where I can insert my own size. _________________ 2.6.11-gentoo-r5 // Xorg // Fluxbox

You'll need to create a new 2-pixel brush. In the brushes dialog click the "new brush" button, set the radius to 2.0, adjust other parameters if you want, then save it. |

I am not sure about Nemo, but Scooby Doo in the movie with the same name was made with help from Film GIMP. |

Wow. A thread about the Gimp where NO ONE complained about it.
That makes my day |
