I tried to remove module-support from my kernel by reconfiguring, compiling and installing the kernel without module-support and running modules-update after that. Unfortunatly my box still tries to load several modules while booting. What did I forget to do? |

Mybe removing anything from "/etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.?" (or disabling coldplug from your rc-scripts)??? _________________ La connaissance s'accroît quand on la partage.

I've just checked both "/etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6" s empty (just commented lines, beginning with '#') and coldplug isn't listed in "rc-update show". I only found "boot | modules" there, but as far as I understood the script that should do anything with a non-modularized kernel.
So I still have no idea what's gone wrong. |
