|
|
Hi to all,
I've some problem to let my network working.....
If I boot from cd-rom my network board it's correctly recognised (i.e. ifconfig and ping are OK).
But after the gentoo installation and boot from hard disk, I'm not able to use a module in order to let my eth works.
I have a 3com board 3c905 or 3c920 ... I'm not sure at 100 %.
The question are:
1) How I can recognized which module is used for ethernet during cd-rom boot ?
2) Which module I can use to let my network works ?
P.S. I'm not able to read the chip number on the eth board....
Thks a lot,
Checco |

lsmod wil tell you the modules loaded by the InstallCD. You should then be able to identify the right modue. lspci will give you the details on the hardware in the system. |
