Hi,
two questions:
1) Where and which is the best place to post KDE and apps?
2) I use KSnapshot but I am unable to copy snapshots to the clipboard. How to? If not, any other alternative or application?
Thank you,

Code: | alias ss='sleep 3 && import -window root shot_\`date +%F-%H.%M.%S\`.png' |
(put in .bashrc or somesuch) |

You can also drag the picture onto an open KolourPaint window! I haven't tried with other apps (e.g. The GIMP, OO.o) yet, though. Still, pretty neat |

Hi,
sorry for not completing question 1. I repeat it again:
1) Which is the best place/forum/w-site where to post kde-application questions? Is gentoo forum still proper or would it be better to post on a more specific kde-apps forum? I ask this because it happends that sometimes I post kde-apps questions and don't always get answers (questions like kontact,...). Example would be this
As for question 2, yes, I can drag the picture onto an open KolourPaint window, and yes, I can perform Ctrl+C when KSnapshot is open. I have just tried and learned them now. This question has been answered and solved.
As for this command Code: | alias ss='sleep 3 && import -window root shot_\`date +%F-%H.%M.%S\`.png' | it is from konsole (I think). So, I wish to ask this question:
- If I am at gentoo console while performing a fresh install and have not installed kde jet, what is the proper program and command in order to take a snapshot of what I see?
Thank you for your replies,
