Hello everyone,
When I was trying to unmerge vim, I was told:
| Code: | !!! Trying to unmerge package(s) in system profile. 'app-editors/vim'
!!! This could be damaging to your system. |
But I remember I installed vim after the base system is finished. I think vim is not necessary for my system to work properly. How to unmerge vim without warning?

Bottom line: The warning is important because if you remove vim your system won't have any decent editors

define "work properly".. you won't have any real text editors after that.

What about Emacs? I just want to remove vim to force me using Emacs.
