Hello everyone,

When I was trying to unmerge vim, I was told:
Code:
!!! Trying to unmerge package(s) in system profile. 'app-editors/vim'
!!! This could be damaging to your system.

But I remember I installed vim after the base system is finished. I think vim is not necessary for my system to work properly. How to unmerge vim without warning?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

DUPE https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-322378.html

Bottom line: The warning is important because if you remove vim your system won't have any decent editors :o

define "work properly".. you won't have any real text editors after that.

cheers
