Hii.
I'm not sure if someone already has asked about this but I didn't find any help.
I have a netgear wg511v2 card (taiwan model) and I am trying to use it with ndiswrapper, but when I load the ndiswrapper module I get the following error:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Iloadndisdriver: loadndisdriver: main(479): version 0.12 started
loadndisdriver: loadndisdriver: load(341): unable to load system files: Invalid argument
loadndisdriver: loadndisdriver: loadall(415): couldn't load driver 'wg511v2'
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have also tried the prism54 module but nothing happens there either.
Thankful for help |

i have one of these cards for my laptop and all it took to get it working on my machine was to compile the kernel with
Code: |
Device Drivers -->
Networking support -->
Wireless LAN (non-hamradio) -->
<*> Intersil Prism GT/Duette/Indigo PCI/Cardbus
|
and then getting the firmware (im using the 1.0.4.3.arm) and renaming it to isl3890 and copying it to:
thats it, NO emerging prism54 (this screwed things up for some reason)
youll need to emerge wireless-tools and stuff like that
as for doing it with ndiswrapper i kept having trouble getting it to work.
hope this helps _________________ +-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-+

It still doesn't work. I did some searching and found out that i have wg511 v2 and it doesn't use the prism chip but the marvell chip. |
