GnuCash-1.8.9 - Small menu font & icons

My system dpi is 147 which renders most gtk1 app's fonts very small.

I've read many (and followed most) topics about fonts and gnucash and the best I have at the minute is the gnucash Register entries appear in a readable sized font. This makes it useable, but less than ideal.

Has anyone managed to get the menus, title bars, help etc. rendered 'larger' and if so, what did you do?
