[emerge] No puedo compilar!!!

Haciendo un emerge -u gcc me da esto:

checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create executables.

si hago emerge de otra cosa, tambien me dice lo de : C compiler cannot create executables.

Alguna idea de por donde tirar?

A mi me paso algo similar hace meses, abri un bug y resulto ser que la version de gcc que usaba estaba "rota". Solución, usar otra versión

Cflags, no creo, he probado incluso sin poner nada y no he resuelto el problema.
Lo de los bugs lo he mirado pero no he encontrado todavia solucion

ALguien me da mas luz.
