I'm shopping for a rf remote to control my multimedia stuff on my gentoo box.
Which one should I buy?
I like that one http://store.niveusmedia.com/s.nl/sc.2/category.2/it.A/id.4/.f but I have no clue if it works well in linux
any suggestions? _________________ The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes! |

I have a Radioshack 15-2116 universal remote that I use with my MythTV HTPC box. It is excellent. My remote controls MythTV, mplayer, and xine. I got it on the recommendation of this fellow's MythTV installation guide for Fedora. Getting a remote working with a Linux box takes some patience, an installation of LIRC, and time. Once you get your mind around it, it isn't tough at all. |

nice remote but you need to have a Infrared card in your pc already + I want RF remote so I can be in a few rooms away from the computer.
I did more research and I think I will go with the ati remote wonder. _________________ The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes! |

You know I realized this later today when I was browsing the MythTV mailing list. Sorry. Check out this recent thread from that list regarding RF remotes. |
