I installed the newst kernel according to the docs. Every thing looks all right except the adsl connection. I reset the adsl-setup with the same data but it doesn't work. I tried stop firewall too.
ifconfig (2.6):

What doesn't work exactly? Does the connection even try to start up for you? I wonder if you could post some error messages or maybe your kernel config ... or are you sure you have it right? |

The fact is pppd (adsl-start) fails at start for some reason. And the log is not very helpful. Besides, I set adsl-setup for both. I know its too long but I put above dmesg for 2.6 and 2.4 and logs about pppd. Thanks for any help. J.

Folks, I really have no ideia how to deal with this small little problem. Adsl-start doesn't connect when I use kernel 2.6. So, I remain in kernel 2.4... I added the output from what I thing could be helpful. If somebody could suggest something, that would be very kind. |

Hei jorgeSallum
It all looks pretty good to me.. its trying to connect.
Couldn't be anything so dumb as something wrong in resolv.conf or pap/chap secrets?
Are you using the same rc.firewall? I set up mine with guarddog and my lsmod looks like:
