Trying to try out the new 3.1 but i get the following error when emerging the first pakage in the list - kdeartwork.

I have tried an emerge sync to see if anyone fixed a possible bug in the ebuild but no luck..

Not a very good start for KDE!

any ideas?

Well kdeartwork depends on arts, kdelibs, and kdebase, so if the 3.1 versions of those packages aren't installed yet, then kdeartwork will fail. I'm not sure why portage is trying to install kdeartwork first.....

OK, I think i know why the file is missing - its because emerge kde failed last night because I ran out of room - it must have failed on kdelibs but the emerge still got registered, so kdeartwork was the next in the list..

It takes a long time to emerge kdelibs so just gonna have to wait and see!
