I mean, I play an mp3 file, and sounds in every speaker. An it happens exactly the same with 2 channels movies. Why?
Thank you. Greetings.

Yes, I have tried mplayer and xine. By the way, I don't know wether it's important or not, but I use alsa-lib and alsa-headers 1.0.8.

mmh... i tried playing an mp3 (stereo) and i heard the music in every channel (5+1). so i think it's a common and normal behaviour.... maybe there is an option for make mplayer play a limited number of channels...

I don't really know if it's a normal behaviour, but not a long time ago, I used to play stereo movies and I only heard audio in the two frontal channels. I am wondering wether it's an update of something that I have made, but I don't remember. I have tried downgrading alsa-lib and alsa-headers to the former versions, but no way...
