please help. how do i compile 29160n into the kernel (2.6) many thanks.

You mean you have an Adaptec 29160N and you're looking for the driver? "aic7xxx" should be the driver you want, it's in menuconfig at:

Code:

Device Drivers --->
SCSI device support --->
SCSI low-level drivers --->
Adaptec AIC7xxx Fast -> U160 support (New Driver)
