The KDE requirements document recommends installing the GNU Image Finding Tool and I'd quite like to give it a go.
However, when I get to the configure stage of the compile process I get the following errors.

Text::Iconv is missing.
Perl gives us the following error message:

This is in spite of the xml-perl package being installed.
If anyone knows about this stuff I'd love to hear from them.

Did you emerge XML-Parser after updating your Perl from 5.6.1 to 5.8.2?
Try re-emerging your XML-Parser, typing "emerge XML-Parser". |
