TightVNC, XFCE4 and pointers

Just wondering if anyone else is having any weird issues with pointers on their TightVNC install. My pointer for some odd reason will not change from a clock to a typical mouse pointer when I drag it over XFCE4 widgets for some odd reason. Also, sometimes my XFCE4 'session' (and I use that term loosely since I'm not running the traditional session manager) claims to crash but it doesn't output what crashed exactly, other than possibly my xfce4-iconbox.
