|
Hi forum,
does anyone know of a program/way to enter text from the commandline into a window? My goal is to get some kind of remote control for certain programs by starting a command/program. I thought that perhaps khotkeys would help throgh dcop, but there are no dcop actions exported. Perhaps anything with the event interface/XINPUT?
I think I remember a little program which could enter text into any specified window, but I can't remember where I have seen it...
Thanks for any clues,
Joost

Found them be now, just in case anyone needs this:
xsendkey (new & not in portage, also sends keys to vmware, take keycodes from xev) works, or xse (also in portage, does not send into vmware).
Bye, Joost |
