Am I crazy? wasn't this forum named "Games & Players"?
If not, what is the differance between a Gamer and a Player?

gamer: A person who plays electronic games
player: A person playing men/women for money and favours
Much more fun to be a player

It's been Gamers & Players since I joined, IIRC. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

From http://m-w.com:
gamer -- Pronunciation: 'gA-m&r
Function: noun
Date: circa 1630
: a player who is game; especially : an athlete who relishes competition
player -- Pronunciation: 'plA-&r
Function: noun
Date: 14th century
: one that plays : as a : a person who plays a game, (...) e : one actively involved especially in a competitive field or process
So it is somewhat redundant (but it does not bother me at all). If you think, laptop is also a kind of hardware, so Hardware & Laptops is also somewhat of a redundancy. Which does not bother me neither. _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." -- Calvin |

The name redundancy is probably mostly so that we have better acronyms for the forums. _________________ if i never try anything, i never learn anything..

Would actually make saying the name longer if it was made one word, becase you can't use a one letter acronym. But before "the great renaming there was just Documentation. Think I like the new names better. |
