qmail + vpopmail

I'm not 100% sure if this belongs in this forum, but it can be moved if it's in the wrong one.

I have a server running qmail and vpopmail. I use thunderbird to view my mails. But i've noticed a problem with either my setting or something else.
Some messages seems to go to the bottom of my email list which is sorted by date. There seems to be a problem with time of the messages send.
Now i'm wondering if there is a setting that i can enable to make the server timestamp my emails with it's current time of the message arrival.

Oh and the server is on time, syncing with ntp.
