Hey folks!
Does anyone know a way to change ( or remove )the gentoo tag from apache*? Since i (try to) have security in mind, i dont want people to probe and see what version im running, and yes i know i can change the tcp timestamps to match someother machine. But i just want the gentoo tag to go away. Got Solution?
* by gentoo tag i mean the ; "Apache/2.0.52 (Gentoo/Linux)"
Thank you

Or you modify the ebuild. Change line 82 of apache-2.0.52-r1.ebuild |

Why would you want to do that when a simple config change will do?
You want to do it every single time you emerge sync?
If you're really paranoid emerge mod_security and mod_chroot |

If you want to change it instead of hide it...

| That's why you have portage overlay. I'm not saying one is better than the other. I'm just pointing out another option. |
