|

Okay guys. I'm not sure about my RAM/Motherboard. When I boot, and hit delete, I can get what frequency it's running at, exact output being:
DDR Frequency = 333 Mhz
Now, I'm not sure if ASUS (product being K8N-E Deluxe) was thorough enough to not print out the DDR rating with a mhz after it. But I wanna know, is my DDR400 RAM getting overclocked a bit hard (normal DDR400 ram should run stock at 200mhz) or is it running slow. Either way, I got stuff I need to do. Guess I need to know is all. If any of you have the same board ram combo, that'd help, seeing as my RAM is Kingston ValueRAM (512, DDR400). If it's running too slow...
It'd be nice to know I got something to tweak still. ![Very Happy :D](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) _________________ CPU: 3800+ X2 (2.5Ghz)

if im not mistaking if you dram clock is 333mhz and your mem is 400 then you need to get the fsb up to 200 yet. See that 200 rating is single rate usually equal to the fsb. That is where the Double comes in, the ddr doubles that because it uses the rising and falling parts of a clock cycle. So right now you are using a 166mhz FSB which is doubled to 333 Pretty sure that is right. Let me know how it goes. |

So, 200 mhz would be faster? _________________ CPU: 3800+ X2 (2.5Ghz)

ddr takes a doubles the frequency of the memory by using the leading and falling edge of the wave {1} so while it is reporting 333mhz it is actualy running a fsb of 166mhz
{1} dont ask me any more i just remeber the moron explanation _________________ Giay tay nam | Giay nam cao cap | Giay luoi |
