Hi guys,
Ive just managed to get my Radeon IGP 345M working with 3d acceleration and for the icing on the cake i wanted to get tvout working as well, Ive installed atitvout and it worked in the console but as soon as I started X the tv looked like a monitor does when you set too higher screen resolution on it, flickery blurs that will change colours and respond to movements on the screen.
Ive had a lil look around and found some people mentioning about frequencys but im not sure how to change these.
Im using the standard DRI in Kernel 2.6.11
Any one have any hints on how to get tvout working on my card? Perhaps there are some options I could set in my Xorg.conf rather than using the atitvout program?
Thanks in advance _________________ Sometimes I sits and thinks, Sometimes I just sits |

i hope this helps somewhat. |

hmmmmmm it's been a while since i acutally set it up but i think i just set it up when i ran fglrxconfig. It asked a few options whether i wanted tv-out or not. Setting the frequenies was the same for setting up a monitor except i just put in the tv values. _________________ women love to see a man recompile his kernel..... |

anxt,
Are you using flgrx?
When I added what you suggested to my xorg.conf X failed to start giving the error No displays detected.
To get direct rendering working on my system I had to use the DRM module in the kernel and the radeon driver in the kernel,
I loaded the modules agpgart, ati_agp, drm, and radeon.
Perhaps TV out is not supported in this driver?
Thanks for your help so far _________________ Sometimes I sits and thinks, Sometimes I just sits |
