Hi, I'm dual booting my dell laptop between Gentoo and M$Windows (MS work only). My graphics are crystall clear in windows, however my gentoo/gnome desktop feels a bit fuzzy or softer. Is there any way to get my gentoo to be more vivid?
Thanks in advanced!

what is your video card? to get more vivid colors, you can use digital vibrance (depending on the card), though i'm not sure this is what you want. _________________ noup. |

Is it just the fonts that seem fuzzy or the whole desktop ? I had something similar caused by my fonts - followed the Gentoo Wikki and changed the order around of my dpi fonts (100 before 75), its been a while, but if I remember correctly that was given as an option to help with blurry fonts. Worked in my case. _________________ Like the Roman, I seem to see "the River Tiber foaming with much blood" |

that's the thing, i'm not really understanding the kind of thing you are experiencing. could you explain more about the "fuzzy" look you are seeing? _________________ noup. |

The whole desktop (fonts, colors, windows, etc) are definitely not as crisp and bright as my windows xp desktop. They look a little dull or soft. |

But it's only in what comes to colors, right? The lines/etc aren't "shaking", right? Try emerging nvidia-settings and set the digital vibrance, see what you get. _________________ noup. |
