|

i have a wireless dlink 604(or was it 614...ill re-check to make sure when i get home), and the internal firewall it has is causing a few problems...
the configuration is all on a http server the router has that you connect to from the local network to change stuff...it has deny by default, which is nice...
now the problem is that, whatever i try, i cant get it to allow me to ssh in from college...heres what i tried:
ALLOW port 667 connections FROM *,* TO *,* - didnt work, wouldnt let me thru
ALLOW port 667 connections FROM *,* TO WAN - didnt work either
ALLOW port 667 connections FROM *,* TO LAN - didnt work...
i then noticed the "special apps" button, which redirects ports, and told it to redirect all connections to 667 on the WAN to my box(192.168.0.100)'s port 667...that didnt work either...
anyone know? this is really getting annoying....i checked on dlink's website, but it didnt have any info(read thru the pdf howtos etc too) |

Why port 667? SSH is usually 22.
All you should have to do is redirect incoming port 22 requests to port 22 on 192.168.0.100. |
