This is my April Fools joke, a day late and a dollar short.
Well, I saw GeNToo and GentOS/2 and figured I had to at least suggest it. If I remember correctly BeOS is quite POSIX-compliant. Dunno about Zeta, though, which is the only modern version that, uh, runs (to the best of my knowledge).

| That might even be possible seriously. It's too bad there's no multi-user support in the old BeOS though (which, incidentally, runs just fine on my system). |

if the BeOS developer release that was from about 3 months ago is anything like Zeta, then yes its still its same former glory -- albeit revamped in many ways.
god if i could get my hands on an old BeBOX i would rule digital music (sheer brilliance with individual line ins/outs and 2 each of MIDI in/out -- if i could also run REASON on it i wouldnt leave my apartment!!!) |
