/lib/cpp fails sanity check

when ever i emerge or do a ./configure i always get:

checking dependency style of i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc... gcc3
checking how to run the C preprocessor... /lib/cpp
configure: error: C preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check
See `config.log' for more details.

i tryed doing "revdep-rebuild -pv" and "binutils-config 1" and it still dosent work :S
