Hello,
I'm trying to install gentoo in my new toshiba tecra M3 laptop. I'm using the 2005.0 minimal CD.
My problem is that the live cd doesnt recognise my network card.
ifconfig shows just the wlan card (ipw2200) and lspci shows:
0000:02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 15)
lspci -n:
0000:02:00.0 Class 0200: 11ab:4362 (rev 15)
Searching on google, it seems that the sk98lin module should work, but it is *not* included in the cd.. I've tried the 'skge' driver, but with no luck.
So, would somebody send me the sk98lin compiled driver?
I've tried to compile it myself (by downloading the sources to another linux box, applying the syskonnect patch, but then my laptop says:
# insmod sk98lin.o
No module found in object
insmod: error inserting 'sk98lin.o': -1 Invalid module format
But if I call 'modinfo sk98lin.o' it displays the info correctly, like:
(...)
description: SysKonnect SK-NET Gigabit Ethernet SK-98xx driver
I'm not an expert in linux, so I probably I'm doing something wrong..
So, can anybody please help me?
Thanks,
Nuno |
