I can't figure out how to make linux and windows set the same hardware clock.

Does Windows use UTC for hardware clock? I am getting tired of Windows messing my clock up every single time I boot into it to play WoW.

i think you should set:
Code:
CLOCK="local"

in /etc/conf.d/clock (or /etc/rc.conf)

Also, make sure that your /etc/localtime symlink is pointing to the right timezone file: If you live on the east coast, it should look like this with ls -l:

Code:
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root  30 Nov 30  2003 /etc/localtime -> /usr/share/zoneinfo/US/Eastern

you could put this in your:
/etc/conf.d/local.start

ntpdate <your_choice_ntp_server>

( I do that do adjust my clock everytime I boot, but it should solve your problem also)
