|
|
I have a Memorex 256 Thumbdrive, and when i plug it into my usb port, all that dmesg gives me is
Quote: | usb 3-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 6 |
It will not give me anything about where it is placed in the /dev directory, so i have no idea to go about how to mount it
I have tried mounting everything every device from /dev/sda* to /dev/sdd*, and every time, all i get is:
Quote: | bitwaba dev # mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb
mount: /dev/sda1 is not a valid block device |
Any idea what might be wrong?

Is the thumbdrive formated? If it's not, you should format it to be able to mount it first.
Do you have all the support needed for it in your kernel? If not, look at this thread: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-53537.html |
